Case Study: Zenbooth achieves scalable, automated manufacturing and inventory management with Airtable

A Airtable Case Study

Preview of the Zenbooth Case Study

Zenbooth’s high-fidelity manufacturing process

Zenbooth, founded in 2016 to solve noise problems in open offices, designs and manufactures nearly 500‑lb phone booths from a Berkeley factory and sells through 13 showrooms. As orders grew — and after shipping about 20 booths — Zenbooth found spreadsheets insufficient for tracking the many unique components, inventory levels, and multi‑stage production planning, so they turned to Airtable (using an Airtable base and blocks like Page Designer).

Using Airtable, Zenbooth linked records to connect production queues and inventory into a custom MRP‑style system, automated customer-facing labels and instructions with the Page Designer block, and used Calendar views to schedule shipments and update order dates in real time. Airtable’s automations and templates helped eliminate manual spreadsheet work, streamline asset creation, improve logistics scheduling, and support scaling from those initial orders to producing thousands of booths a year for customers like Lyft and Samsung.
