How Tranter’s Creek Resort and Campground reimagined property management

Tranter’s Creek Resort and Campground, a 35‑acre North Carolina resort with 297 distinct sites, was struggling with an unsupported legacy booking system that frequently lost data and couldn’t handle complex billing, seasonal pricing or nuanced site matching. Owner Ricky Aycock needed a new database that could match guest requirements (dates, rig size, site type) to available sites, track more than 60 nightly rates, payments and even flag problem guests; he found Airtable and partnered with Nathalie Collins of VAcePro to build a proprietary property management tool.

Using Airtable as the core platform, Aycock and Collins built an all‑in‑one property management system that replaced the old software and centralized reservations, billing, maintenance, rentals and a CRM. Airtable enabled the team to manage 297 sites and 60+ rate tiers, stop losing emergency contact data (no longer disappearing after 30 days), chase late payments more effectively, and track marketing channels—delivering clearer accounting, better guest tracking and faster staff adoption thanks to Airtable’s visual interface.
