How ScholarMatch made Airtable work for them, part two

ScholarMatch, a nonprofit that helps low‑income students navigate college admissions and stay through graduation, needed better ways to schedule workshops, assign volunteers, track attendance, and log case management notes as its services expanded. To meet these needs they adopted Airtable, using its flexible database, mobile apps and embedding features to integrate program scheduling, volunteer assignments, student attendance and communications into one adaptable system.

Airtable enabled ScholarMatch to build linked tables (Program Log, Comm Log, events, internships, etc.), use count fields to automatically tally student attendance, generate unique case‑log codes via formulas, capture notes on mobile, and publish shared views and the ScholarMatcher tool hosted on Airtable. The result: more reliable tracking of program popularity and student communications, publicly accessible resource databases, national reach through ScholarMatcher (recognized by the White House), and the capacity to serve hundreds of students with scalable, low‑cost operations.
