Case Study: Frame.io achieves streamlined, centralized content production with Airtable

A Airtable Case Study

Preview of the Frame.io Case Study

How Frame.io runs their content production

Frame.io, the platform built for filmmakers to enable frame‑accurate video feedback, faced an internal content‑production challenge: coordinating more than 30 freelance writers, tracking article costs and assignments, and collaborating across time zones using fragmented docs and spreadsheets. To address this, Frame.io adopted Airtable’s cloud‑based database and forms to replace ad‑hoc tracking and enable a more design‑driven workflow.

Using Airtable, Frame.io linked article and writer tables, deployed forms for idea submission, and added status fields and summary reporting to track payments, subtotals, and assignment history. Airtable became the central hub for the content and wider marketing teams, improving visibility and collaboration, scaling to manage a 100,000+ word Workflow Guide and dozens of submissions from partners—measurable gains in efficiency that Frame.io says they can’t go back from.
