BlueOcean faced a common but costly problem: teams didn’t see how their day‑to‑day work connected to company strategy, which made progress hard to track and goals easy to miss. Jenny Bodenlos used Airtable’s no‑code platform—building bases, linked records, workflows and Interface Designer views—to diagnose where time was spent and create a “red thread” that ties every task to strategic objectives.

Using Airtable, Bodenlos implemented a portfolio base linking OKRs, projects, tasks and collaborators, added automations, calendar/timeline views and curated leadership dashboards to provide always‑on visibility. The result was real‑time insight into project health, faster issue resolution, reduced manual status updates, and greater team autonomy—helping avoid additional headcount—and demonstrating Airtable’s scalability (Bodenlos previously scaled adoption from a 300‑person department to 5,000 users across an organization).
