PNG LNG - Customer Case Study

PNG LNG, a $19 billion LNG project in Papua New Guinea, needed support managing a large number of contract personnel without a strong local presence in Port Moresby. The project also faced significant challenges around safety, security, health, cultural considerations, and finding qualified local PNG citizen-labour. Airswift provided talent acquisition, contract hire, RPO, relocation services, and talent mapping to help meet these needs.

Airswift opened a local office in Port Moresby in 2008 to provide on-the-ground recruitment and global mobility support, including immigration, finance, assignment and mobilisation services, plus pre-employment medical checks and a malaria control programme. As a result, Airswift supported more than 250 personnel at any one time across a broad range of disciplines, helping the project move from construction in early 2010 to production in April 2014.
