Ulta Beauty, a major US beauty retailer, needed a new way to capture customer preferences for retargeting and to deliver personalized recommendations in the moment. With limited survey capabilities, they required a creative solution to gather this data without developer support. They partnered with vendor Airship to address this challenge.

Airship provided a no-code platform that enabled Ulta Beauty to build a custom in-app survey to capture shopper preferences, which were then used for personalized retargeting via push notifications and an in-app Message Center. This solution drove a 2.8x higher purchase conversion rate from those exposed to the campaign and gathered over 825,000 guest preferences.
