TGI Fridays, the iconic bar-and-grill with 870+ restaurants worldwide, uses its mobile app for reservations, ordering, payment and loyalty. Facing fierce competition for diners, the brand needed to boost top-of-mind awareness, drive more in-store traffic and grow revenue from its mobile channel.

Partnering with Airship, Fridays deployed targeted, behavior-based messaging across push, in-app and web channels, built automated Journeys for welcome, re‑engagement and upgrades, used custom events to recover abandoned carts, and sent location-based offers via geofencing. The results: a 3.5% lift in average order value, roughly a 30% reduction in abandoned carts and a 98% response rate to an app-update campaign, driving higher conversions and stronger customer loyalty.
