Bosch Automotive Aftermarket North America wanted to modernize its internal sales and marketing conference for 250 associates by using beacon-triggered push notifications to educate attendees, prompt session surveys, and deliver segmented, personalized event information instead of printed agendas.
Working with Urban Airship and Exhilent, Bosch launched the E2 app that combined Urban Airship’s targeted push messaging with Gimbal beacons to send location- and session-based notifications and deep-link to anonymous quizzes. The app was opened 8,300 times, recorded 17,500 beacon hits across 18 beacons, and delivered real-time session feedback and foot-traffic insights, enabling faster updates, better attendee engagement, and cost and efficiency gains.
