Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ), a Swiss newspaper of record, wanted to increase reader loyalty and drive traffic to its mobile app to support its goal of reaching 200,000 paid subscribers. As a result, NZZ saw a 56% increase in time spent in the app, with users spending about two more minutes per session, alongside improved open rates and a decrease in opt-outs.
