BITS Alumni Association used Airmeet to host 13 networking events across time zones for their Annual Gala

BITSAA (BITS Alumni Association), the global alumni network for BITS with 150,000+ alumni and 110 chapters worldwide, needed to convert its in-person Annual Gala into an engaging, multi‑time‑zone virtual experience that would connect current students with senior alumni and overcome Zoom fatigue. To meet this challenge, BITSAA chose Airmeet and its social webinar platform to host the gala and related chapter events.

Airmeet delivered features such as Social Lounge, speed networking, invite‑to‑stage, chat exports, backstage, customizable backdrops and seamless video playback to recreate a physical event vibe and boost interaction. The vendor’s platform enabled BITSAA to run 13 parallel networking events across two weekends, with about 150 attendees per session and extended networking well beyond the planned 45 minutes, proving Airmeet effective for scaling future annual meets and fundraising efforts.
