SoleSavy, an online sneakers marketplace and community of passionate sneakerheads, needed a better way to measure growth and churn across more than 10 Slack communities. Its existing ELK-based setup couldn’t handle the volume of data or support efficient cross-database analysis, making it difficult to centralize and track community metrics. Airbyte was brought in to help consolidate this Slack data for analysis.

Using Airbyte, SoleSavy automatically extracted data from Slack into a single Postgres database, then connected Metabase to that consolidated source for reporting and dashboards. This simplified data aggregation and eliminated slow query performance, enabling faster insight generation and easier cross-community analysis. SoleSavy said Airbyte let its team re-platform the data architecture without downtime and confidently scale as the community grows.
