Case Study: Faros accelerates engineering data integration with Airbyte

A Airbyte Case Study

Preview of the Faros Case Study

Building an Open-Source Engineering Operations Platform

Faros Community Edition (Faros CE) is an open-source engineering operations platform that helps teams connect data across the software development lifecycle, from pull requests to incidents. To power this single-pane view, Faros needed a reliable way to ingest and connect data from many systems like GitHub, Jira, CircleCI, PagerDuty, and others, without spending its energy on building and maintaining data movement infrastructure. Airbyte provided the ELT layer used to bring this operational data into Faros CE.

With Airbyte, Faros built a destination connector tailored to its schema, then contributed back source connectors and a TypeScript CDK to strengthen the ecosystem. Airbyte is also deployed as part of Faros CE, pre-configured with sources and connections, allowing users to get data ingested in minutes and access a full-featured Airbyte instance for custom integrations. The result was faster implementation, a compact integration layer, and a scalable platform that let Faros focus on its core value rather than data plumbing.
