Tinkergarten Resolves Sign-Up Error with Airbrake Occurrences

Tinkergarten, a Series-B tech-enabled network for early childhood education, faced a sign-up issue when launching a new free trial program. Within 12 hours, CTO Tim Broder saw that Airbrake had detected about 50 occurrences of new users who couldn’t complete registration, affecting returning users from older seasons.

Using Airbrake Occurrences, Tinkergarten quickly identified and fixed the logic error, then mined the occurrence data to find affected user IDs and contact those customers with an apology and updated sign-up link. Airbrake helped Tinkergarten catch the issue just minutes after release, resolve it before more complaints came in, and communicate promptly with impacted users.
