E-Commerce Platform CTO Resolves Downtime Issue with Airbrake

Moovenda, an online food delivery service based in Rome, was dealing with frequent downtime on its customer platform, especially under heavy weekend order volume. The issue was critical because the legacy Ruby on Rails system handled order and customer registration, and the original developer had already left, making it hard for the team to quickly find and fix the cause of the crashes.

Airbrake helped Moovenda’s engineering team triage the incidents by grouping similar errors and highlighting the main problem areas in Ruby on Rails. Using the Airbrake Error Log, they were able to pinpoint and fix issues faster while building a new Node.js platform in parallel. The result was a major improvement in stability and a solution that was easy enough to implement that the CTO later used Airbrake with other customers as well.
