Case Study: Postman saves 20 hours per week and eliminates fraud risk with Airbase

A Airbase Case Study

Preview of the Postman Case Study

How Postman is using Airbase to tackle fraud, provision expenses, and move beyond manual reconciliation

Postman, a San Francisco-based API development platform with about 150 employees, faced frequent credit‑card fraud, slow manual expense reporting, and awkward per diem provisioning for visiting staff. Yatin Mody, Head of Finance, sought a solution that would reduce disruption and lighten the workload of his small finance team, and turned to Airbase—primarily for its virtual cards and expense automation.

Airbase implemented virtual cards, physical per‑diem card provisioning with lock/unlock controls, automated approval and bill‑payment workflows, and direct sync to QuickBooks. The result: no Airbase cards have been compromised, expense provisioning no longer requires ATM trips, approvals and bill payments are automated, and Postman saves about 20 hours per week—eliminating fraud risks and reducing the need to hire clerical staff.
