URAC, an independent leader in health care quality accreditation, was relying on a 10-year-old legacy system, AccreditNet, to handle paper-based accreditation processing. The system was difficult to change, required custom vendor coding even for minor updates, and lacked the flexibility, workflow, and notification capabilities URAC needed as it moved applications online and prepared for future growth. AINS was brought in to help modernize the process with its eCase Platform.
AINS replaced the legacy system with eCase, creating an end-to-end accreditation solution that supported 30 different accreditation processes, centralized evidence, enabled real-time collaboration through the eCase Portal, and automated workflows. The results included $116,000 in annual maintenance and hosting savings, reduced time and travel costs, a 98.4% increase in customer satisfaction, and improved operational efficiency. URAC also earned the Workflow Management Coalition’s Award for Excellence in Case Management in 2016, highlighting the impact of AINS’s solution.
