A AIMS Parking Management Software Case Study
Washington State University Parking and Transportation Services needed to replace a legacy DOS-based parking system with an online, customizable platform to improve customer service and handle high volume operations (campus population 19,000; ~20,000 citations and 10,000 permits per year). After an RFP process they selected AIMS Parking Management Software for its ability to provide the custom interfaces and online capabilities WSUPTS required.
AIMS Parking Management Software went live at WSU in August 2005, implementing the AIMS web module for annual online permit sales, the Permit Request module, 14 automated handheld enforcement devices, and custom interfaces with Washington DOL, DataTicket, CORE One‑Step POS and university systems. The solution automated data entry, enabled 24/7 online ticket payment and appeals, and produced custom reports for payroll deduction and enforcement productivity—improving employee efficiency, generating labor savings, and reliably supporting the department’s large permit and citation volumes.
