Liberty Global, the world’s largest international TV and broadband company serving 29 million customers across 30+ countries, faced limited visibility and planning capability for its Network Materials supply chain (cables, cabinets, etc.) despite having strong CPE planning. With engineering and procurement siloed, the company couldn’t reliably answer spend-per-customer, infrastructure-build efficiency, return optimization or supplier alignment questions—problems made more urgent by network expansion through acquisitions.
Liberty Global implemented AIMMS with partner Districon to build a demand-aggregation tool that improved inventory rotation and demand accuracy. The solution raised planning accuracy to about 70%, strengthened budget control and forecasting, and enabled the company to quantify the bottom-line impact of more accurate demand forecasts.
