A AIMMS Case Study
A global fashion retailer that designs shoes, bags and clothing and generates over $500M in annual revenue asked AIMMS partner Districon to help its European customer service team address poor visibility across inventory, inbound flows and transport options. The team struggled to match production and sales orders amid changing forecasts, events and multiple transport modes (sea, air, train), and made many decisions by gut without knowing the impact on KPIs, costs or emissions.
Districon built an AIMMS-based Sales & Operations Execution app that pulls ~85% of its data from the retailer’s ERP and provides dashboards for availability, logistics costs, revenue, discounts and CO2 emissions, plus shipment-level drill-downs. Scenario planning and a built-in optimization model let the team test disruptions, compare responses and optimize routing and scheduling under constraints (including CO2 and cost limits). The result: faster, data-backed decisions, improved product availability and revenue visibility, and more resilient handling of exceptions.
