Cache Cache improves order fulfillment and warehouse capacity with AIMMS

Cache Cache, part of French Groupe Beaumanoir, is an international fashion retailer with 1,520 stores across 21 countries. Rapid growth in China (turnover +30% annually) caused a steep rise in shipments that their semi‑automated warehouses and existing WMS could not handle; standard batch picking forced operators to walk an average of 700 meters per pick, creating capacity and productivity bottlenecks.

Cache Cache integrated an AIMMS optimization model on top of their ERP/WMS to minimize picking distance by considering cart capacity, orders, locations and picking paths and printing optimized picking instructions on labels. The change cut picking path length by over 15%, boosted warehouse capacity comparably and raised productivity by about 10%, with plans to extend AIMMS to e‑commerce delivery and other distribution center processes.
