AIMMS-based Demand Planning App Streamlines Forecasting at Höegh Autoliners

Höegh Autoliners, a global RoRo carrier operating about 40 PCTC vessels and serving major vehicle and equipment manufacturers, faced a fragmented, Excel‑based 15‑month forecasting process across 16 offices and numerous stakeholders. Manual updates hindered standardization, consumed sales and planning resources, and made long‑term fleet allocation and consolidated planning cumbersome.

Districon built an AIMMS-based demand planning app that centralizes forecasts, lets teams update figures in real time, and auto-imports data into an AIMMS Integrated Business Planning tool for capacity and allocation optimization. The solution improved collaboration across global offices, produced reliable auto-generated forecasts used in budgeting and planning, and better positioned Höegh to make tactical and strategic fleet decisions.
