Case Study: a major U.S. airline achieves a resilient mission-critical communications upgrade with AIM Consulting's VoIP/RoIP implementation

A AIM Consulting Group Case Study

Major U.S. Airline modernizes mission-critical communications for 400 workers with AIM Consulting Group

A major U.S. airline was facing significant operational risks due to its reliance on a 20-year-old legacy communication system for mission-critical contact with airborne planes. The hardware was no longer manufactured or supported, and the airline needed to consolidate multiple operation centers onto a modern, reliable platform. They turned to AIM Consulting to lead the design and implementation of a new Voice over IP (VoIP) and Radio over IP (RoIP) based system.

AIM Consulting managed the entire project, including the implementation of the Avtec Scout console and Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM) backbone. They led requirements gathering, design, testing, and a phased rollout, completing the mission-critical upgrade with no impact to operations. As a result, the airline now has a flexible and highly redundant system that has enormously reduced risk and support costs for over 400 users.
