A leading defense and aerospace organization sought to reduce repetitive employee questions by enhancing its AI-powered self-service capabilities, particularly for HR and policy information. They faced significant complexity as the project required a Microsoft Teams-integrated chatbot to be built within the secure Azure GovCloud environment, where many standard tools and connectors were unavailable. The organization partnered with AIM Consulting for the necessary expertise.

AIM Consulting implemented a Teams chatbot using a Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) model and built a custom architecture to overcome GovCloud limitations, including creating code for document indexing and file uploads. The solution intelligently routed queries and integrated with SharePoint. The pilot grew rapidly, achieving 10,000 monthly active users and handling 135,000 monthly interactions, leading to enterprise-wide expansion and significantly streamlining employee self-service.
