Inventory Allocation and Replenishment with AI

Adler Modemärkte AG, a leading German fashion retailer for the 55+ segment with 172 stores across Europe, wanted to modernize its inventory management as brick-and-mortar traffic declined and online competition intensified. To support its data-driven “Strategy 2020,” ADLER turned to Aifora’s Retail Automation Platform to improve allocation and replenishment at the SKU level, replacing manual Excel-based planning and intuition with a more predictive, customer-centric approach.

Aifora implemented AI-powered allocation and replenishment software that uses ADLER’s internal data plus external inputs such as loyalty card, promotion, weather, and event data to forecast demand, optimize ordering, and manage stock in real time. Rolled out first to select product groups and then across the assortment and countries, the solution helped ADLER minimize out-of-stock situations, increase merchandise availability, detect shortages and surpluses earlier, and improve the turnover-to-stock ratio, while also making teams more efficient through automation.
