University of Miami Health System launches real-time point-of-care AI insights with Aidoc

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) faced a challenge with its outpatient imaging workflow, where critical findings could go undetected for days, delaying treatment and putting patients at risk. To address this, UHealth collaborated with the vendor Aidoc to find a solution.

Aidoc implemented its Point-of-Care AI Deployment (POC-AID), a first-of-its-kind initiative that provides real-time AI insights immediately upon scan completion while the patient is still on-site. This solution from Aidoc created a direct outpatient-to-ED pathway for patients with acute conditions, significantly reducing the turnaround time to treatment and improving patient safety.
