This standardized approach could not account for the significant variation in vegetation risk across its service territory, creating challenges for reliability, customer impact, and wildfire mitigation. To move beyond this calendar-based system, Entergy partnered with AiDash to adopt a risk-based approach using its satellite and AI-driven vegetation intelligence platform.

AiDash's solution provided a territory-wide view of vegetation risk, enabling Entergy to dynamically optimize trim cycles from 3 to 13 years based on localized conditions. This allowed for targeted, proactive work on high-risk areas while reducing unnecessary trimming in lower-risk zones. As a result, Entergy achieved a more than 20% improvement in vegetation-related reliability performance within the first year, alongside increased budget efficiency and enhanced wildfire mitigation.
