Major Electric Utility Co-op Company, a Southeast U.S. power cooperative serving 16 distribution co-ops and more than 1 million customers, struggled with poor visibility into its vegetation risks across a complex network. Its tools were disconnected, largely manual, and paper-based, making it difficult to manage inspections, compare imagery consistently, and control operations and maintenance costs. AiDash helped address these issues with its Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS).

AiDash implemented its IVMS using satellite imagery and AI to create a single view of the network, classify vegetation by threat level, and predict future tree growth to prioritize trimming. The results included 5-10% lower work planning costs, 80% lower inspection expenses, and a more efficient trimming cycle plan, with 100% of earlier hazard tree interruptions found in just 25% of line miles.
