Bear Valley Electric Service (BVES), a utility operating entirely within a High Fire Threat District in Southern California, faced extreme ongoing risks from vegetation-driven outages and potential wildfire ignitions. To address this challenge and move beyond compliance-based standards, BVES partnered with AiDash and implemented its Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS) to proactively manage vegetation risk across its network.

By leveraging AiDash's satellite and AI-powered IVMS platform, BVES gained full-network visibility and could identify and prioritize hazardous vegetation year-round. The solution enabled a condition-based, risk-informed management approach. As a result, BVES recorded zero vegetation-related outages during peak wildfire season after implementation, a significant improvement from their previous average of seven per year, while also improving crew efficiency and simplifying regulatory reporting.
