YIT, the largest Finnish and significant North European construction company, faced slow, paper-based project accounting where printing, filing and manually searching for attachments hampered transparency and auditability. To address this, YIT selected Aico’s Aico Journals solution to integrate with its SAP ERP and digitize creation, handling and archiving of accounting journals and their attachments.

Aico integrated Aico Journals into YIT’s SAP system (go-live December 2014) with deployment completed in about one month (typical installs take 2–3 months) and roughly 160 end users onboarded. The solution centralized attachments, made journals fully electronic and easily searchable, sped up processes considerably, improved audit readiness and reduced manual work — and users reported the system was easy to learn and Aico’s support responsive.
