MTV engaged Aico to replace manual, paper-based journal handling and improve the transfer of journals into its financial management application. Using Aico Journals (deployed in December 2010), MTV aimed to eliminate time-consuming tasks like printing, mandatory manual approvals, filing and archiving, and to reduce errors and improve visibility across outsourced financial operations.

Aico implemented Aico Journals to automate electronic vouchers, provide drop-down account/code selection, automated reversal journal types, centralized archiving with attachments, and searchable reporting on journal status. The solution removed several manual work phases, made it easy to see who had processed journals on time, and “significantly decreased the number of journals containing incorrect data,” delivering clear time and error savings and a smooth integration with MTV’s service provider.
