Case Study: Syngenta achieves an ideal A2R process and streamlined financial close with Aico

A Aico Case Study

Preview of the Syngenta Case Study

How the agricultural technology company Syngenta builds its ideal A2R process with Aico

Syngenta, a global agricultural technology company based in Basel, sought to redesign its account-to-report (A2R) process across three SAP ERP instances. They faced limited visibility of close status, fragmented data from multiple SAP systems, and delayed or error-prone journal postings that required rework, so Syngenta selected Aico and its Aico Platform (Closing Task Manager, Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations) to centralize and modernize the close.

Aico implemented the Aico Platform with live integrations to all three SAP systems, automated journal and reconciliation workflows, configurable templates, and dashboards for company‑code, Legal Entity and global close monitoring. The deployment—used by about 800 end users and processing roughly 5,000 reconciliations and 7,000 journal entries per month—delivered improved data quality and user satisfaction, automated balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal postings, earlier warning of critical‑path breaches, and a significant increase in right‑first‑time journal postings thanks to Aico’s real‑time ERP validation.
