AkzoNobel, the global paints and coatings leader with operations in 150 countries and 499 companies, needed a single way to monitor and manage its complex month-end close across multiple regions and SAP environments. With more than 350 employees involved in the close process, the company wanted better visibility for individuals, as well as regional and central oversight. Aico provided the platform and services to help address this challenge.

Aico implemented its Closing Task Manager, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliations, and Intercompany Invoicing solutions, integrated in real time with AkzoNobel’s seven SAP instances. The engagement covered presales, project management, implementation, and ongoing support. As a result, AkzoNobel unified the financial close across 499 entities and gained the ability to monitor, analyze, and control the process at multiple levels with a single solution.
