Fortum engaged Aico to evolve a long-standing ERP relationship into enterprise-wide financial process automation, beginning with digital rotation of memos (originally via predecessor eMemo) and expanding into broader finance automation. Facing high transaction volumes across many countries, Fortum needed to harmonize processes, speed up period-end reporting, and reduce repetitive manual work while keeping tools easy to use for different user roles.

Aico implemented and co-developed financial automation solutions—forming the basis of the Aico for Finance product family—now supporting several hundred users worldwide. The Aico solution harmonized operations across countries, shortened turnaround times and period‑end closes, increased precision, enabled around‑the‑clock processing, and freed finance staff to focus on higher‑value tasks.
