Arche3D delivers two lightweight display parts in 36 hours with Ai Build

The customer Arche3D was commissioned by a globally recognized luxury diamond brand to produce a large-scale decorative display piece. Their challenge was to manufacture complex, lightweight parts with tight dimensional accuracy without the long lead times and high costs associated with traditional methods like CNC-machined molds. Arche3D turned to vendor Ai Build and its AiBuild CAM software for a robotic large-format additive manufacturing solution.

Using Ai Build's solution, Arche3D printed the parts on a KUKA robot with a pellet extruder. AiBuild CAM generated the optimized robotic toolpath, allowing them to go straight from digital geometry to production with no tooling stage. The result was two dimensionally accurate parts printed in approximately 36 hours total, achieving a consistent visible-layer finish that met the client's aesthetic requirements and a schedule traditional methods could not have met.
