Case Study: Daly Potato Co achieves accurate cost-of-production tracking and audit-ready input records with Agworld

A Agworld Case Study

Strategically using input and production cost tracking

Daly Potato Co., a family-run potato grower in Marion Bay, Tasmania (roughly 6,000 tonnes/year across 140 ha and supplier to major retailers), faced two key challenges: unclear returns from large areas of leased land and stringent audit requirements (Freshcare, HACCP) demanding precise input records. To address this they implemented Agworld’s farm-management platform to capture applications, batch numbers, labour and machinery costs and to share agronomist recommendations.

By recording every application, cost and yield data in Agworld — including photos of labels and geolocated records — Daly now produces accurate cost-of-production reports by field and ready-made audit documentation. Those insights led them to plant 20 hectares less and cease farming the highest-cost leased paddocks to lower cost-per-tonne, simplified audits via Agworld reports, and enabled better planning and targeted management using Agworld’s planning tools and satellite SVI imagery.
