A Agworld Case Study
Wairakaia Partnership, a mixed sheep, beef and cropping farm in Gisborne, NZ, struggled with retrospective spreadsheet entry and a lack of field visibility—cropping manager and co-owner Bruce Graham had to return to the office each night to log data and couldn’t access critical records while working on the farm. After seeing Agworld at the Fieldays show, Wairakaia Partnership adopted the Agworld platform in 2014 to replace spreadsheets and enable in-field data capture and management accounting.
Agworld provided mobile data entry, tailored reporting (including spray diaries), offline access to multi-year records and field-level cost accounting, which Bruce and his full-time worker now use daily. As a result, Wairakaia Partnership can see profit margins as soon as yields are entered, make informed decisions about which crops to continue or remove (for example reassessing their orange orchard), reduce time spent in the office and clearly track profitability per field—demonstrating Agworld’s impact on management accounting and farm decision-making.
