Case Study: Bungulla Farming achieves 60% data-driven decision-making and maximised asset utilisation with Agworld

A Agworld Case Study

Preview of the Bungulla Farming Case Study

How a data driven approach that puts data analysis at the forefront is key to improving results

Bungulla Farming, run by Brad & Kate Jones near Tammin, WA, farms 11,000 ha of cereals and pulses and operates an aerial spraying business. Facing a decade-long challenge to maximise asset utilisation across machinery, soil and labour, they adopted the Agworld platform to centralise crop planning, protection, nutrition and management data and enable a systematic, data-driven approach.

Using Agworld to collect and layer over 300 soil sample sites with NDVI, yield maps, EM surveys and rainfall records, Bungulla Farming now makes roughly 60% of decisions entirely from data. The Agworld-enabled program delivered targeted liming and variable-rate inputs, removed about 10% of uneconomic cropping, sped up diagnostics (e.g., resolving a manganese deficiency), reduced input costs in parts of the farm, and simplified compliance—helping them pass an ISCC audit—demonstrating clear asset utilisation and business benefits.
