Colorado State University manages weeds across 52 square miles with AgTerra Technologies

The customer, Colorado State University, was faced with the challenge of improving weed management across the massive 52-square-mile property of Denver International Airport. Traditional methods were inefficient, making it difficult to monitor invasive species and evaluate herbicide treatments. They partnered with vendor AgTerra Technologies to find a solution.

AgTerra Technologies implemented its MapItFast and SprayLogger tools, enabling the team to map problem areas, track applications with GPS precision, and navigate directly to past sites. The solution avoided herbicide over-application, captured detailed spray data, identified weed corridors, and provided data for a master's thesis. This gave the airport a data-driven roadmap for long-term vegetation management.
