Edinvale Farm, an upland cattle farm in Scotland, faced the challenge of reducing its carbon footprint to achieve its goal of carbon neutral beef production. The farm partnered with Agrecalc, using its farm carbon calculator, to gain insight into its emissions and identify areas for improvement.

By implementing Agrecalc's software, Edinvale was able to analyze its operations and introduce targeted mitigation strategies. These included monitoring diesel use to reduce CO2 emissions by 28% and optimizing fertilizer application to cut N2O emissions by 37%. As a result, Agrecalc helped the farm slash its emissions from 51 kg to 27 kg of CO2e per kilo of beef output, putting it firmly on the path to carbon neutrality.
