Case Study: Parlogis reduces inventory and stock-outs with AGR Dynamics

Increased accuracy in the Pharmaceutical industry

Parlogis, a pharmaceutical logistics service provider in Reykjavik, Iceland, manages around 14,000 active articles from 500 suppliers in a 4,000 m² warehouse. Despite their experience in stock control, they faced high inventory levels, manual replenishment work, and the need to better align replenishment with sales fluctuations. They used MS Dynamics AX alongside AGR Dynamics’ Inventory Optimiser.

AGR Dynamics implemented a simulation-based demand planning and replenishment solution that used ERP data to apply best-fit forecasting and create more disciplined workflows. The results showed that Parlogis could reduce inventory levels without hurting sales, while also lowering stock-outs and improving planning accuracy. After more than two years, Parlogis said the solution continued to exceed initial expectations, with further gains achieved by tuning the AGR Dynamics setup to their specific needs.
