Huawei Cloud aimed to engage and educate students on using its cloud services to solve problems in health, banking, and sustainability. Their challenge was to foster the use of its GaussDB service and crowdsource innovative solutions while building its employer brand among early talent.

The vendor, Agorize, provided its SaaS platform and community of innovators to manage the Huawei Cloud SPARK Hackathon. This solution attracted over 450 participants who formed more than 190 teams. Huawei awarded US$42,000 in prizes and opportunities to ten winning teams, successfully increasing awareness of its technology and brand while generating quality tech solutions.
