Kansas State University faced a challenge: its KSU Foundation had not actively used email to engage donors and relied on limited text-only messages. To modernize and personalize communications, the university turned to Agilon, deploying the Rel@y email solution integrated with Agilon’s fundraising tools and ONE database to provide scalable, multi-user e-communication capabilities.

Agilon implemented Rel@y to send personalized HTML and text emails, track opens and clicks, and support e-receipting and varied campaign types. The results were dramatic: Jan 1–Feb 22, 2007 vs. same period in 2006 saw web traffic up 224% (24,416 → 79,147), online gifts up 612% (34 → 242), and dollars raised online up 4,000% ($550 → $23,185); KSU sent 263,856 emails with Rel@y in the first half of 2007.
