UGI Utilities, a 130-year-old energy distributor serving more than 640,000 natural gas customers and about 62,000 electricity locations, has long supported Pennsylvania schools through its Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program. When the full-time employee who managed event scheduling, volunteer coordination for 175 schools, costume logistics, reminders, cancellations, and hours tracking retired, UGI faced the choice of hiring a replacement or automating a complex, highly customized set of processes for internal and external users.
