ESPO, the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation in the UK, needed to adapt its print-centric product content for a new Magento-based ecommerce site. With about 30,000 SKUs and data originally built for catalogs rather than web search and filtering, the team found its product taxonomy, attributes, and content structure were not ready for modern ecommerce requirements. ESPO used Agility PIM from Agility PIM to prepare the product information for the relaunch.

Agility PIM helped ESPO restructure the data model, migrate the content, and create customized import and export sheets for both products and Frameworks. The project took about one year, and the new site delivered an immediate lift: ecommerce sales rose 1% per week and passed 30% of total sales in ten weeks. ESPO also said the improved product content shortened catalog production cycle time.
