Transforming Care to Manage Increasing Demand

Thurrock Council faced the challenge of complying with new Care Act legislation while managing increasing demand for its services. To ensure its systems were compliant and to better direct resources to citizens most in need, the council partnered with Agilisys. The goal was to implement a 'Digital First' strategy for adult social care.

Agilisys implemented its Agilisys Care platform, which included online assessment and information modules. This customer-centred solution was co-produced with a local organization and embedded by a joint team. The results included launching a new information portal within six months, increasing web content from 50 to over 300 pages, and providing new tools to social care teams to ensure consistent assessments and indicative personal budgets for citizens.
