Agilisys enables Community Solutions for the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham faced significant social and financial hurdles, requiring a radical rethink to improve services and achieve substantial savings. The council needed to move from a siloed culture to one that could proactively address the root causes of residents' issues, all while rationalizing assets and outdated technology. To conquer this challenge, they partnered with Agilisys to bring to life their transformative vision for a new Community Solutions service.

Agilisys supported the council from conception to completion, scoping, designing, and delivering the new service. This involved merging 15 services, redesigning processes for over 300 staff, and enabling a major cultural and technological shift. The results were significant; the borough is on track to achieve £4.6m in savings, residents are becoming more self-sufficient, and early intervention is reducing pressure on costly acute services. Agilisys ensured the successful handover of a new, evidence-led operating model that fosters resilience and independence.
