NumeriX, an independent leader in pricing and risk analytics for financial derivatives, needed a more robust and flexible licensing approach than its in-house tools could provide. Facing strict security requirements, diverse platform support, multiple licensing models, and difficult customer network environments, NumeriX turned to Agilis Software and its Orion Network Licensing Platform.

Agilis Software implemented a single Orion-based licensing solution that supported node-locked, floating, trial, and subscription licenses across NumeriX’s platforms and applications. The solution enabled automated and proxy-based activation, self-service license renewal, and offline “sneakernet” workflows, while also supporting redistributed floating licensing for customers with no Internet access. As a result, about 85% of NumeriX installations were enabled for hosted activation, with the remaining customers served by redistributed server licensing, putting NumeriX on track to meet 100% of its licensing needs with one unified system.
