Liaison Technologies secures 30-day trials and 100-license activations with Agilis Software

Liaison Technologies, a global integration and data management company, needed to protect its Protect family of security products with a robust licensing system. Their challenge was ensuring only the licensed number of installations could run on customer systems that often operated in disconnected internal security zones with no external network access. They partnered with vendor Agilis Software and its Orion Network Licensing Platform, hosted via the Acropolis service, to find a solution.

Agilis implemented Orion's secure offline activation, which allows customers to self-service licenses via an encrypted file transfer without needing an internet connection on the licensed machine. This eliminated operations overhead for Liaison and allowed their global customers to activate licenses at any time. The solution also provided enterprise license pooling, secure self-service license relocation, and managed trial licenses. Liaison reported a highly positive experience, noting the Acropolis service had perfect uptime over three years, and plans to expand their use of Agilis's Orion platform.
