Liaison Technologies, a global integration and data management company, needed stronger protection for its software licenses and a way to enforce node-locked licensing in secure environments without external network access. They worked with Agilis Software and its Orion Network Licensing Platform, hosted through the Acropolis On-demand Managed Licensing Service, to support offline activation for their Protect product family.

Agilis Software implemented secure disconnected-mode license activation and relocation, allowing Liaison customers to activate, move, and manage licenses through encrypted file exchange even in air-gapped or firewall-protected systems. The solution reduced operations overhead, prevented oversubscription, supported both perpetual and 30-day trial licenses, and gave Liaison reliable 24x7 hosted licensing infrastructure; Liaison reported no downtime over three years with Acropolis and planned to extend Orion to additional products.
